When you need a logbook service

There are two reasons to keep up with logbook servicing:

Warranty protection. Under the Australian Consumer Law, your new-car warranty stays intact as long as the car is serviced to manufacturer specification by a qualified mechanic, using appropriate parts. Skipping services or using the wrong parts is the only way you genuinely lose warranty cover. The dealership cannot refuse warranty just because someone else did the service.

Resale value. A fully-stamped logbook adds real money to your trade-in or sale price. Most private buyers will not look at a car without one. Most dealers will discount their offer if the book has gaps.

The logbook itself tells you the schedule. Service every 10,000 to 15,000 km or six to twelve months, whichever comes first. We follow your specific manufacturer's intervals exactly.

What's included

Minor service (most common, every 10,000 to 15,000 km):

  • Engine oil change to manufacturer specification
  • New oil filter (OEM or quality aftermarket)
  • Tyre pressure check and adjustment
  • Top up windscreen washer fluid and coolant if needed
  • Multi-point safety inspection (brakes, suspension, lights, belts, hoses, leaks)
  • Logbook stamp and itemised invoice emailed to you
  • Reset of the service reminder on the dash

Major service (every 30,000 to 60,000 km depending on make):

Everything in a minor service, plus:

  • New air filter
  • New cabin (pollen) filter
  • Brake fluid check, flush if due
  • Spark plugs on petrol engines if due
  • Differential and transfer-case oil check on 4WDs
  • Deeper inspection of CV boots, exhaust, fuel lines
  • Battery health test

If we find anything outside the scheduled service items, we stop, take a photo, and call you with a fixed quote. Nothing extra goes on the bill without your agreement.

How it works

1. Tell us what's due. Call 0451 159 954 or use the quote form with your make, model, year, and current kilometres. We tell you exactly which service your logbook calls for and quote the price.

2. Book a time and place. Pick a day and a location. Home, work car park, anywhere your car is parked. We are happy to do early morning starts so you can get back on the road for work.

3. We service the car. Most minor services take 90 minutes. Most major services take 2 to 3 hours. We hand you back a stamped logbook, an itemised invoice in your inbox, and a clear report on anything we noticed that may need attention later.

What it costs

We quote a fixed price in writing before any work begins, based on your specific make, model and the actual job. Call us with the details and we will give you a real number on the spot.

Routine servicing in Brisbane typically ranges from $188 to $449 as a general market guide, depending on whether it is a minor or major service and the size of the vehicle, before any extra repairs. See how our pricing works for more.

Why customers pick us for logbook servicing

Frequently asked

What customers ask about logbook & general servicing.

Does a mobile logbook service void my new-car warranty?

No. Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are free to have your car serviced by any qualified mechanic, including a mobile one, as long as the service follows the manufacturer's specifications and uses appropriate parts. The dealership cannot refuse to honour your warranty just because someone else did the service. We use OEM filters and manufacturer-spec fluids on every logbook service for exactly this reason.

What's the difference between a minor and major service?

A minor service is your routine oil and filter change, plus a multi-point safety inspection. It happens every 10,000 to 15,000 km or six months. A major service includes everything in a minor service plus air filter, cabin filter, brake-fluid check or flush, spark plugs on petrol engines at the recommended interval, and a deeper inspection. Major services typically happen every 30,000 to 60,000 km. We follow your logbook exactly.

How much does a logbook service cost?

Routine servicing in Brisbane typically ranges from $188 to $449 as a general market guide, depending on whether it is a minor or major service and the size of the vehicle. The price varies based on filter and oil cost for your specific engine. We quote the exact price for your make, model and year before we start.

Do you use genuine OEM parts?

We use OEM filters (OEM or quality aftermarket) and manufacturer-spec oils (fluids that meet or exceed manufacturer specifications). We do not use the cheapest filter on the shelf, because filter quality matters for engine longevity and for warranty compliance.

What if you find something else during the service?

We stop, take a photo, and call you with a fixed quote before we do anything outside the original service. You decide whether to proceed. Nothing gets added to the bill without your agreement.

Do you service all makes?

We service the major Australian sellers, Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai, Ford, Holden, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Kia, Volkswagen, Skoda. Less common brands, European luxury, and EVs are case by case. Call us and we will tell you straight.

How often should I get a logbook service?

Most modern cars require a service every 10,000 to 15,000 km, or every six to twelve months, whichever comes first. The exact interval is in your owner's manual or logbook. We can tell you yours if you give us a call with the make, model and year.
